Who knew underneath the CBD in Sydney would be a facility full of maggots processing food waste from the buildings above?
We partnered with GoTerra during Climate Action Week Sydney to get a glimpse of their waste management units that use black soldier fly larvae to convert food waste into fertiliser.

Hidden in the basement of the Lendlease building in Sydney's CBD, this world-first project uses AI, robotics and insect larvae to process food waste at Barangaroo.
We were led down an underground maze to the facility which was surprisingly odour-free and quiet. Attendees took turns looking at the larvae with some interesting looks of intrigue and surprise!

Congrats to the GoTerra team on an innovative solution to tackle one of the planet's major climate issues.
